I’m Malek Hammoud. I build software that has to work — Linux distributions, weed-finding robots, and local AI that never leaves the machine.
I’ve been building since high school: a Minecraft physics mod that passed over a thousand downloads, a Canada-Wide Science Fair bronze medal, an Arch Linux distribution that took a SourceForge award, and two internships before I started university. I’m looking for a software engineering internship for Summer 2027.

- 2024Drone litter-mapping system[5]An aerial mapping pipeline that locates illegal dumping from drone orthomosaics — a real 50 m² survey from a 5-minute flight, each detection GPS-tagged.
- 2023Minecraft flight physics mod[6]A real-time aerodynamics engine — lift, drag, angle of attack — computed on every tick at 60 FPS. My first serious code.
