The problem
Travelers must manually consult fragmented government foreign office advisories across disparate countries to assess safety levels before international travel.
The constraint
Each government department publishes advisories using different scales, formats, and updating frequencies. The ingestion system has to normalize unstructured text into comparable risk scores autonomously.
What I built
Automated scraping workers in Node.js, a PostgreSQL database indexing 5-tier normalized risk ratings, and a high-performance Next.js frontend with programmatic report routing.
The outcome
Serving 1,000+ monthly active users with automated daily safety score updates.
